FAQ

Most-asked admissions questions.

If your question isn’t answered below, the admissions hotline at (555) 555-HCII has live humans Mon–Fri 8am–7pm CT.

How fast can I start?

New cohorts start every 4 weeks. From application to first day of class is typically 2–5 weeks depending on program, financial aid timing, and externship coordination.

What does HCI actually cost?

Tuition ranges from $4,800 (Home Healthcare Aide, 4 months) to $19,200 (Healthcare Administrator, 18 months). 87% of students qualify for some form of aid — federal, employer, or 0% in-house payment plans starting at $349/month. Full breakdown on the Tuition page.

Am I eligible for federal financial aid?

HCI is in active accreditation candidacy. Once full ABHES accreditation is granted, federal aid (Pell Grants, Direct Loans) will be available. In the interim, we offer scholarships, employer reimbursement coordination, and 0% in-house payment plans.

Where will my externship be?

HCI has 200+ partner facilities across all 50 states. We coordinate placement based on your home address — you’ll never have to relocate or commute more than 45 minutes for externship hours.

Can I work while in the program?

Yes. Most students do. Our online-first format and evening/weekend cohorts are designed specifically for working adults. The externship portion (last 4–8 weeks) requires more flexibility — we help you plan that with your employer.

What if I need to pause the program?

Life happens. HCI offers leave-of-absence options up to 6 months without re-enrollment fees. Your tuition credits and externship coordination resume where you left off when you return.

How long until I’m working in the field?

Most graduates are placed in entry-level roles within 30–90 days of completing their program — often with the same facility where they completed their externship. Career services continues helping you for the rest of your career.
