Common Questions

Things people ask before applying.

Do I need prior healthcare experience or a college degree?

No. Our programs are designed for career changers and first-time healthcare students. The only requirement is a high school diploma or GED. We handle the rest.

Are these programs really fully online?

Coursework is 100% online and asynchronous — you complete it on your schedule. Every program ends with a clinical externship that takes place at a local partner facility coordinated to your area.

How much does it actually cost?

Total program tuition ranges from roughly $4,800 to $19,200 depending on program length. 87% of students qualify for federal aid, scholarships, or our 0% in-house payment plans starting at $349/month.

Are HCI programs accredited?

Yes. HCI programs are designed to meet or exceed the requirements for state credentialing where applicable, and we maintain partnerships with regional accrediting bodies. See our Accreditation page for the full list.

What if I can’t finish the program in the standard timeline?

You get a 2-week catch-up window built into every term, plus the option to pause for up to 90 days for life events. We work with students, not against schedules.
